8 short videos, each under a minute, walk through RosterFilm on a sample family and their coach. The player, the team and every school in them are invented. Watch the ones that matter to you.

For families

Build your athlete's page and reel, write to the college coaches you choose, and see who watched.

Your athlete's page

From an empty account to one page a college coach can open from a link.

Read the transcript

RosterFilm turns your athlete's film into one page a college coach can open from a link. This is a sample family, so every name, number and school you'll see is invented.

The dashboard walks you through it: the player, their numbers, their seasons and a reel. Each part is ticked off as you finish it.

Stats can come straight from a MaxPreps or Perfect Game link you paste. Anything you typed yourself is never overwritten.

My page shows you exactly what a coach sees. The reel comes first, large, right beside your athlete's name.

And this is the page itself. It opens for anyone with the link, with no login and nothing to install.

New pages are unlisted, so nobody finds your athlete by searching their name. Copy the link, and send it to the coaches you choose.

Making the reel

Build a highlight reel from your own clips and your coach's, or bring one you already have.

College coaches ask for film first, so the reel comes first.

Build one from your own clips, add one you already have from a link, or upload a reel you finished yourself.

The builder starts each clip near the crack of the bat. Trim it, put the clips in order, and add a title card with your athlete's name.

If your athlete's coach films games in the app, those clips arrive here too, and they can go in the same reel.

On the paid plan, one button builds draft reels for you. Nothing it makes goes on the page until you approve it.

Keep a reel for hitting, one for pitching and one for fielding, and show or hide each one on its own.

Writing to college coaches

Pick the schools, read a drafted email, and send it from your own address.

Read the transcript

On the paid plan, you choose the schools to write to, from our directory of college coaches.

Search for a school, or narrow the list by division and state. Where we have a school's roster, it shows how many players come from your state.

Then RosterFilm drafts the email in your athlete's voice, with their numbers written as plain lines a coach can scan.

Pick which coach it goes to, read it through, and change anything you like.

It goes from your own email address, never from us. Copy it across, or open it straight in Gmail.

Tick it off once it's sent. That school gets its own link, and from then on you can see when they open the page.

Who watched

See which schools opened the page, how far into the reel they got, and who is worth a second email.

Read the transcript

Every school you write to gets its own link, so you can see which ones looked.

We count a school when someone opens the page and stays on it, and how far into the reel they watched. Never email opens, so the numbers you see are real.

Some schools watch to the end. Some open the page and never press play. Some don't open it at all, and that's normal too.

The dashboard tells you which schools are worth a second email, and drafts the follow-up for you.

On the paid plan, you get an email and a phone alert naming the school as soon as someone watches.

The app

Your coach's clips arrive on your phone, and the reel is built right there.

The RosterFilm app puts your athlete's page and reels on your phone. This is the same sample family, so every name you'll see is invented.

When your athlete's coach films a game, the clips come straight to you. Watch them here, and save the ones you want to keep.

To make a reel, open Videos. You can pick clips from your own photos, or from the ones your coach sent.

Choose the moments you want. They go into the reel in order, and you can trim each one.

Then build it, right on the phone. When it looks right, one tap puts it on your page.

My page shows you exactly what a coach sees, and the link to send them.

For coaches

Free for high school and club coaches: your team, your clips, and one email about several players.

Your team

Free for high school and club coaches. Invite your families, film games, and send each family their own clips.

Read the transcript

RosterFilm is free for high school and club coaches. You run the team, and each family builds their own page.

Send one invite link to the whole team. Each family adds their own player, and nothing about a child is published until a parent claims it.

Or add one player yourself, and you'll get a claim link to send to their family.

Film games in the app and tag each clip to a player. One send emails every family a private link to their own child's clips, and the links stop working after thirty days.

The families decide. They can switch your filming off, and they choose whether you see who's looking at their page.

Writing to schools

One email to a school about several of your players, sent from your own address, and which schools watched.

Read the transcript

A college coach would rather read one note from you about several players than six emails from six parents.

Pick a school, then choose which of its coaches the email goes to.

Choose the players to put in front of them. RosterFilm drafts the email with a link to each player's page.

You send it from your own email address, to as many as twenty-five schools for each team every season. A family can opt out of your sends.

And where a family has chosen to share it, you can see which schools opened their athlete's page, and how far into the reel they watched.

Filming a game

Film from the fence, tag each clip to a player, and send every family their own.

Read the transcript

The RosterFilm app is free for coaches, and it's made for filming from the fence. This is a sample team, so every name you'll see is invented.

Tap the player who's up. Every clip you shoot is tagged to them until you pick someone else.

Press record as the pitch comes in, and stop when the play is over.

Keep it or delete it, right there. There's nothing else to fill in between plays.

The clips wait on your phone, with a count beside each player's name, so you can see who you've got.

After the game, the Outbox lists every player with clips. One send emails each family a private link to their own child's clips, and the links stop working after thirty days.
